These card cases are really unique. They are made form a single piece
of wood that is cut to form a wooden hinge along one side. The hinge is
secured with a brass rod and one half of the top is fastened closed while the
other opens to reveal the cards inside. The cases can be used to protect
business cards while storing them in a pocket or drawer and they can also be
used to display business cards by swinging the opening half all the way back and
standing the case up. Using a single piece of wood ensures that the grain
flows from front to back and makes a very pleasing presentation. They are finished with oil and
high grade museum quality wax and then
buffed to a wonderful satin sheen. I've made most of them out of two
contrasting woods for effect but they look just as nice all in one species of
wood. I can custom make these upon request and even have them laser engraved.
Contact me if you have
any questions or would like to order one. Paired with a matching pen they
make very nice gifts! Prices vary by wood species and style of pen if you
chose a set. Laser engraving is also
available.
